We helped our customer to add Mobile App Capabilities to their web based monolith HR management SAAS product.
A Case Study on iConnect’s Modular Development Approach
Client Requirement:
A longstanding SaaS company, had a monolithic/non-modular HR web application. They had multiple customers and deployments across geographies. They wanted to modernize their offerings by adding an employee self service mobile app.
The goal was to create an intuitive mobile app allowing employees to interact with the HR department efficiently, such as submitting time, attendance, leaves, expenses approval and feedback etc.
Domain : Human Resource Management Solutions (HRMS)
During initial discussions, we analyzed the need to modularize the existing application.
Our proposal included a 5-step plan
1. Existing code and feature discovery
2. Transition to a modular code base
3. Revamp UI UX of the current web application with new designs.
4. Developing APIs to support the mobile app
5. Developing the mobile app itself
We developed a cross platform HR management app for both Android and iOS platforms, focusing on UI/UX design and modular development.
We worked with our client’s stake holders as their extended team using agile development framework.
The app was successfully launched in 6 months and we supported it on an ongoing basis. Our consultative approach made sure that we created a long lasting solution and not some patchy work.
